Weekly Farmers Market Coming to Manteca Medical Center Beginning May 5
A new farmers market will open on May 5 at the Manteca Medical Center, providing opportunities for our members and employees to access fresh and healthy produce right at our facility.
Beginning May 5, the farmers market at the Kaiser Permanente Manteca Medical Center (1777 W. Yosemite Ave., Manteca) will be held every Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., year-round. The market will be located on the new garden patio, between the hospital and medical offices.
Visitors to the farmers market will enjoy a robust variety of fresh produce, nuts, and other healthy fare. Hosting farmers markets at our facilities aligns with Kaiser Permanente’s mission of encouraging healthy eating to our members and the communities we serve.
“We welcome our employees, physicians, members, and the community to visit our farmers markets and take advantage of the fresh fruits and vegetables it will offer,” said Steve Millar, MD, Assistant Physician-in-Chief for Health Promotion and Innovation in the Central Valley. “We are very excited to be able to offer this resource to help promote the overall health of our community.”
