Patient Financial Services

This Patient Financial Services handles and processes all in/out patient accounts receivable and billing services including Commercial, Industrial, Medicare, Medi-Cal, Third Party Liability (TPL), screening members for Medical Financial Assistance and linkage to Medi-Cal, verifies/notifies admitting providers of insurance status of non-members at time of admission to the hospital and directs callers to the appropriate departments. The Patient Financial Service will provide a list of all copayment statement paid toward in-network (meaning at a KP facilities) clinical and hospital payments only. This department will only mail or fax completed requests to patients, if requested. Patient would need to provide and indicate the return fax number on a cover sheet or the authorization form itself. No email or pick up of completed requests/forms. The HIPPA Authorization Form can be obtained on kp.org or mailed/ pick up at the Outpatient Intake Window for any billing inquiries.
