Kaiser Permanente Fresno has received a variety of accolades. Kaiser Permanente Fresno Medical Center earned the top “A” ratings from The Leapfrog Group in its biannual Hospital Safety Score report. The report examined and graded more than 2,500 hospitals throughout the United States on 28 measures of publicly available hospital safety data. The grades represent a hospital’s overall performance in keeping patients safe from preventable harm and medical errors. Kaiser Permanente California Senior Advantage (HMO) was rated an excellent 5 out of 5 stars overall for 2015 by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services – the highest-rated Medicare health plan in California 4 years in a row – 2012-2015. The rating is based on Medicare health plan performance in several major categories that include preventive care, chronic care, prescription drug services, customer service, and member satisfaction. www.kp.org/medicarestars

Kaiser Permanente Fresno received the Get with the Guidelines® — Stroke Gold Quality Achievement Award from the American Heart Association. The award recognizes Kaiser Permanente Fresno’s commitment and success in implementing a higher standard of stroke care by ensuring that stroke patients receive treatment according to national accepted standards and recommendations.
Kaiser Permanente was recognized as a leader in Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender (LGBT) health care equality in the Human Rights Campaign’s (HRC) Healthcare Equality Index 2014. All 38 Kaiser Permanente hospitals across the Program achieved leadership status for their commitment to equitable, inclusive care for LGBT patients and their families.
