The Fremont and Hayward Medical Centers were among the 15 Kaiser Permanente hospitals in Northern California to be honored with an “A” Hospital Safety Score by The Leapfrog Group, an independent national nonprofit run by employers and other large purchasers of health benefits.
Four Kaiser Permanente hospitals in Northern California, including Fremont and Hayward, have been named “Top Performers in Key Quality Measures” in an annual report released in September by The Joint Commission.
The Fremont and Hayward Medical Centers were honored with the 2012 “Partner for Change” Award from Practice Greenhealth, a national membership organization for health care facilities committed to environmentally responsible operations.
Both medical centers were among the 11 Alameda County organizations and companies honored by public agency StopWaste.Org with the 2011 StopWaste Partnership Business Efficiency Award at the East Bay Sustainable Business Trends & Awards event with the East Bay Economic Development Alliance.
