Infectious Disease
Kaiser Permanente’s Infectious Disease Department focuses on prevention of disease, hospital and outpatient infectious disease consultation, travel medicine services, and the care of HIV infection. The use of vaccines is important and vital practice to our Kaiser Permanente members and to the health of our community.
Infectious diseases are medical detective work. Hunting an infectious disease requires a broad knowledge of medicine while at the same time being mindful of the details of a person’s daily life and experiences that may contribute to illness as well as to good health.
The opportunity to interact and consult easily and effectively with physicians of all specialties helps Kaiser Permanente Infectious Disease doctors give the best possible care. Kaiser Permanente’s dedication to disease prevention, and to education of physicians and patients, makes this a unique department.
