Kaiser Permanente Napa Valley Marathon a Success!
Despite some wind, rain, and even hail – not exactly ideal for running – the 2017 Kaiser Permanente Napa Valley Marathon went off without a hitch, proving why it’s among the top-rated marathons in the U.S.
Weather aside, nearly 3,000 runners came from near and far to enjoy the scenery, attend lectures at the Marathon College, and perhaps even sample a few wines both before and after the marathon.
More than 130 Kaiser Permanente physicians, nurses, physical therapists, staff members, family and friends provided key services at the marathon, including providing advice about race warm up, warm down and nutrition, conducting athletic taping and stretching for runners prior to race day, and providing water and aid station refreshments as well as medical attention to race participants and race finishers on race day. Our Kaiser Permanente 22.3 mile aid station even won an award for Best Aid Station!
