Honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Thousands of Kaiser Permanente employees took time recently to honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., by rolling up their sleeves and getting to work at schools, community centers and other sites across northern California.Here in the Napa-Solano Area, the work began with a prep day on Saturday, Jan. 13 and continued on Monday, Jan. 15 as approximately 150 Kaiser Permanente staff, physicians and their families from the Napa-Solano Area partnered with Rebuilding Together and school staff at Highland Elementary School in Vallejo to paint, garden, and beautify the teacher’s lounge.

Kaiser Permanente names new Physician-in-Chief for Napa-Solano Area

Kaiser Permanente Napa Solano is pleased to announce that Christopher Walker, MD, has been named physician-in-chief for the Napa-Solano Area. In this role, Dr. Walker , a family medicine physician, will help guide and oversee more than 650 physicians, as well as clinical staff caring for members and patients in the area. Walker is replacing longtime physician-in-chief Steven Stricker, MD, a cardiologist who served in that leadership role for more than 20 years.

For the seventh consecutive year, Kaiser Permanente’s Medicare health plans in California have earned 5 out of 5 stars, the highest overall rating in the state for quality and service for 2018 from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
