Kaiser Permanente Receives Awards
BY ANTHONYKaiser Permanente was recently honored for our work with schools in Solano County as well as for our corporate citizenship:
In March, Kaiser Permanente was honored to receive the Partners in Educational Excellence Award from the Association of California School Administrators, for our support of schools in Solano County. In addition to this local award, Kaiser Permanente will also be honored with a statewide Partner in Educational Excellence Award by the ACSA at its yearly conference in November.
Also in March, Mayor Osby Davis of Vallejo presented Kaiser Permanente with the Global Center for Success Award for corporate citizenship. The award is given annually to businesses, community based organizations and individuals who improve the quality of life in the Vallejo community.
Shiyama Clunie, Public Affairs Director, accepted the award on behalf of Kaiser Permanente. “We are honored to be recognized for our contributions to good health,” said Shiyama. “We share this award with our staff and physicians, and the many organizations we partner with to improve health in the communities we serve.”
The event was attended by more than 200 members of the Vallejo community, including Congressman Mike Thompson, Supervisor Linda Seifert and Vallejo City Council member Rozzana Verder-Aliga.
