The Importance of Life Care Planning
Life Care Planning – also known as advance care planning – is about selecting someone you trust to make your health care decisions if you are unable to, and providing that person with specific instructions about your care in the event of sudden injury or illness. It’s something all adults should consider and make decisions about – before it becomes necessary.
“This is really important for people of all ages, young and old,” says Michael, D. Mason (title). “Once you’ve made these decisions and completed an Advance Health Care Directive, it’s important to provide a copy to your health care provider so they are aware of your wishes,” Dr. Mason added.
