Seminar Examines the Legal and Financial Impacts of Alzheimer's Disease
Like many other medical diagnoses, taking care of a loved one with dementia or Alzheimer’s can result in unforeseen expenses. Knowing how you can best anticipate and plan for these expenses is the topic of a seminar being presented by the Alzheimer’s Association of Northern California on Friday, Sept. 13, 2019 at the Kaiser Permanente Stockton Medical Offices.
The presentation is entitled “Legal and Financial Planning for Alzheimer’s Disease” and is open to both Kaiser Permanente members and non-members. There is no cost to attend.
“Because Alzheimer’s and dementia can be relatively slow-moving in their progression, it often affords caregivers more time to make plans before the disease is at its worst,” said Maria Dizon, MD, Sub-Chief of Medicine for Elder Care and Medical Director for the Central Valley’s Memory Clinic and Skilled Nursing Medicine Department. “The experts at the Alzheimer’s Association have put together this informative seminar to help us understand what legal and financial impacts caregivers might encounter, and how to best prepare for them.”
