Michael Tully-Cintron named chief operating officer for Walnut Creek Medical Center
Michael Tully-Cintron, MS, MPS, has been selected as Chief Operating Officer for Kaiser Permanente’s Walnut Creek Medical Center.
In this role, Tully-Cintron will lead, facilitate, direct, and coordinate operational activities and programs relative to day-to-day hospital operations. This includes Patient Care Services, Support Services, Quality and Member Services.
The position is a bit of a homecoming for Tully-Cintron who previously worked for Kaiser Permanente. In 2004, he oversaw the start-up and activation of the Antioch Medical Center. Just two years later he became the Chief Operating Officer of the Antioch Medical Center and served in that capacity until 2011.
In 2011, Tully-Cintron moved to Kaiser Permanente’s Regional Offices in Oakland as a Regional Transition Executive where he was responsible for the opening of medical centers in Oakland, San Leandro and Redwood City. After that success, Tully-Cintron joined Genentech, Inc. as their Director of Strategy and Business Operations, Site Services, where he was responsible for leading an internal consulting team dedicated to providing world class support to the Site Services organization consisting of Facility Operations, Environmental Health and Safety, Security, Capital and Space Planning and Governance.

Tully-Cintron began his new role on March 28, 2016.
