Oakland Kaiser Addiction Medicine & Recovery Services helps people from all walks of life who share a common goal: the wish to stop drinking and using drugs, and be well again. Our team of specialists can help you safely and comfortably stop drinking or using drugs. We offer full, part-time, day and evening programs to meet your needs. Our doctors, nurse practitioners, nurses, therapists, and support staff are all dedicated to help you recover from chemical dependency.

Care that fits your situation

We have comprehensive treatment programs for both adults and adolescents, and we also provide support for those who have just recently quit and need help to stay sober. Because we know that chemical dependency affects the whole family, we also offer information and support for partners and others concerned about a loved one’s alcohol or drug use. We also offer therapy groups in Spanish and can provide interpreters for non-English speakers in several different languages.

AMRS services are completely confidential. Information about your treatment will not be shared with anyone without your written permission.

Convenient Location

We are located approximately one mile from Kaiser Permanente’s Oakland Medical Center. Housed in a beautiful building in Old Downtown Oakland, we are close to BART, AC Transit, and parking. When you call for an appointment, we will provide directions.

Call 510-251-0121 for an appointment. You do not need a referral from your doctor. Calling us and then walking in the door for your appointment is the biggest step you will take towards recovering your life.
