Anesthesiology

Welcome to the Department of Anesthesiology at Oakland and Richmond!

We are a group of anesthesiologists and nurse anesthetists who are dedicated to providing you with the best clinical care.

Anesthesiology here at Oakland and Richmond consists of the following services:

• anesthesia for adults
• pediatric anesthesia
• obstetric anesthesia
• regional anesthesia (for example, nerve blocks for patients undergoing orthopedic surgery)
• critical care

Although we may not meet you until the day of surgery, your surgeon may refer you to the PreSurgery Clinic for an appointment to assess your readiness for surgery. On the day of surgery, we will have the chance to discuss the anesthesia for your surgery, including any alternatives and risks.
