Your Visit

It is always helpful to bring in past testing and IEPs if they are regarding the current concern. We will be happy to scan all documents into the chart for future reference by all providers.

Both parents are welcome, and it can be helpful to have the family’s perspective, but not necessary. If one parent would like to attend but is not able, we welcome any questions that they may have. Please consider using our kp.org system to alert us to any further questions you might have after the appointment.

Parents should be present at all visits with the following exceptions:

• Parent video visit or face time into the appointment
• Parent gives written consent for the Nanny, grandparent, etc. to bring the child to the visit.
• Therapist can contact the parent at the time of the visit and ask for verbal consent and document the conversation.

Yes, we welcome families. We want to provide the best service possible by focusing on the child referred for therapy and being able to address your questions. If you feel the sibling may be a distraction to the patient or you, please consider alternate arrangements. If you chose to bring the sibling(s) please be prepared to supervise the sibling(s) during the therapy session.

The receptionist cannot print the evaluation for the family. The receptionist can support the family’s request by staff messaging the therapist that the family needs a copy of the evaluation. The therapist will send by secure message or by snail mail no more than 10 pages of the evaluation.
