Our team provides a wide range of diagnostic procedures designed specifically to detect and diagnose breast cancer. These include mammography, breast ultrasound, and breast MRI:
- Mammography is an X-ray of the breasts (mammary glands) that is used to diagnose breast cancer. A mammogram is done to help screen for or diagnose breast cancer.
- Breast ultrasound is performed to further investigate a specific abnormality seen by a mammogram or noticed during a physical exam.
- Radiologists trained in reading Breast MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) will supervise and interpret the breast MRI results.
- If needed, procedures can also include interventional breast procedures to biopsy suspected breast abnormalities using Stereotactic breast biopsy or ultrasound-guided breast biopsy.
