Our goal is to provide the best service for all of our patients who suffer from a work-related injury or illness. We will treat both Kaiser Permanente & non-Kaiser Permanente members, however, everyone should first check with their employer for authorization before making an appointment. Our staff is well trained at making your visit a success. From our physicians to our front desk staff, we are here to be of assistance to you.
The Occupational Medicine Department at Kaiser Permanente – treats both Kaiser Permanente and non-Kaiser Permanente members for a wide variety of work-related injuries and illnesses. Employees seeking our care for a work-related injury, should check with their employer representative to verify that Kaiser Permanente is an approved industrial injury provider for your company. The important difference is your benefits under the Workers Compensation system that covers work-related injuries and your personal health insurance plan, which may or may not be Kaiser Permanente.
If your personal health insurance is with Kaiser Permanente, you should know that Kaiser Permanente Health Plan benefits do not cover work-related injuries. These industrial injuries are treated by a company’s designated health care provider, which may be Kaiser Permanente, but this needs to be verified before making an appointment. Of course, if you are experiencing an emergency, then you should seek treatment at the nearest hospital or Emergency Department.
