Kaiser Permanente SF Recognized for Excellence by American College of Surgeons

Hospital Receives Meritorious Recognition for High Scores in All Surgical Care Categories

Kaiser Permanente San Francisco has been recognized with the highest rankings possible by the American College of Surgeons National Surgical Quality Improvement Program (ACS NSQIP®). The organization awards the rankings based on the outcomes of inpatient and outpatient surgical procedures.

Kaiser Permanente has Northern California’s Highest-Rated Medicare Plan – Also Among Highest Rated in U.S.

NCQA rated Kaiser Permanente Northern California among highest for consumer experience, prevention, and treatment

The National Committee for Quality Assurance rated Kaiser Permanente Northern California’s Medicare health plan a 5 out of 5 – the highest in Northern California, and among the highest rated in the country.

In the Health Insurance Plan Ratings 2019-2020, published today, Kaiser Permanente’s Medicare health plan in Northern California received a 5 and its commercial health plan a 4.5. Kaiser Permanente’s Southern California region received the same ratings – making the two plans among the highest rated in California and the nation.

Kaiser Permanente Receives Top Score in LGBTQ Care Equity for 10 Years

For the tenth consecutive year, Kaiser Permanente’s hospitals have been recognized as an LGBTQ Healthcare Equality Leader by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation, the educational arm of the nation’s largest lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer civil rights organization.

The Healthcare Equality Index evaluates more than 1,600 health care facilities nationwide on their policies and practices related to the equity and inclusion of their LGBTQ patients, visitors, and employees. Kaiser Permanente has participated in the HEI since 2008 and has consistently moved up in its rankings, achieving a perfect score in 2010 and every year since.

Get back in the game at our Sports Medicine Center

State-of the art facility now open at Mission Bay Medical Offices

Professional athletes to “weekend warriors” can depend on Kaiser Permanente Sports Medicine to provide the care they need to stay in the game.

Located at the Mission Bay Medical Offices, the 16,000 square foot Sports Medicine Center will be used to diagnose and treat injuries related to sports or recreational activities and athletics. The facility includes a 7,000 square foot open gym, onsite imaging, nine physical therapy rooms, and sport-specific rehabilitation with simulated environments.
