Before Your Surgery

1 – 2 business days before surgery: you will receive a phone call telling you what time to arrive and when to stop eating and drinking. Please follow these instructions carefully or your surgery may be cancelled.

At home on the night before/day of surgery:

  1. Take a bath or shower before coming in for your surgery. Do not apply lotions, perfumes, deodorants, hair products, alcohol based products or nail polish.
  2. Do NOT shave the surgical site.
  3. Brush your teeth, and rinse your mouth, but do not swallow.
  4. Remove all jewelry, piercings, and contact lenses.
  5. Leave your valuables at home.
  6. Wear loose fitting comfortable clothing.
  7. Pack an overnight bag if you are staying overnight.
  8. If for emergency reasons you need to cancel or postpone your surgery within 24 hours, please call 707-651-3180.

Day of surgery:

  1. Bring your Kaiser Permanente Card, photo ID, and cash or credit card for co-pay.
  2. If not already provided, bring your Advanced Directive form for scanning.
  3. Bring a list of medicines, vitamins, supplements, or herbal remedies that you are taking. The list should include date and time the medications were last taken.

Driving Directions:
Located on Sereno Drive near Broadway, which can be reached by I-80, Highway 29 (Sonoma Blvd.), or Highway 37.

From Highway 80 eastbound
Sonoma Boulevard exit toward Napa. Turn left onto Sonoma Boulevard and then turn left onto Sereno Drive.  Located on Sereno Drive near Broadway, which can be reached by I-80, Highway 29 (Sonoma Blvd.), or Highway 37.

*After your surgery, you will be required to have someone drive or accompany you home. If you do not have anyone to escort you, your surgery may need to be rescheduled
