The Durable Medical Equipment department provides items that are intended for repeated use, primarily and customarily used to serve a medical purpose, and generally not useful to a person who is not injured or ill.
Coverage for durable medical equipment is limited to the standard item that adequately meets the medical need of the member. Durable Medical Equipment is covered for use in member’s home as prescribed by a Plan physician.
