Kaiser Permanente works with nonprofits, local organizations, businesses, and government officials to make a difference in the communities we serve.
Our employees and physicians donate their time, money, talent, and expertise to a wide variety of important causes. They serve on boards, financially donate through KP Gives, our workplace giving program, and participate in Kaiser Permanente sponsored volunteer activities. It’s a way to give back to those who need it most.
Here are some of the ways we are spreading health:
Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service
Each year we celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and honor his life and legacy through a day of volunteerism in the communities we serve. We believe volunteering and giving to others enriches our lives—helping those in need and creating a source of pride for our colleagues and ourselves.
Volunteers spend the day painting, building, and landscaping at schools and other community sites.
Community Giving
Each year Kaiser Permanente employees are presented with an opportunity to take part in the Community Giving Campaign. It is a way to support the charity of their choice and the cause that matters most to them. Kaiser Permanente employees and physicians can donate to any qualified nonprofit organization such as a child’s school, a church, or their favorite community service organization.
Every year generates more than $1 million to support more than 2,000 organizations.
