- Self-help
The Day Treatment track is an intensive outpatient substance abuse program designed for individuals who require a highly-structured outpatient environment. The intensive nature of this program is such that patients are not able to work while participating. Assistance is provided for patients to request medical leave from their employers and help with submitting disability insurance claims, or FMLA leave (refer to “Process for Obtaining SDI” link).
Treatment includes:
- Medical and psychological evaluation and program orientation
- 21 days in highly-structured group sessions, scheduled across weekdays, evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Individual sessions with a primary therapist.
- Psycho-educational classes and group therapy to deal with difficult or triggering situations with oneself and others. This treatment is combined with daily required participation in self-help meetings.
- The ADAP track is intended for individuals who are maintaining regular work schedules and need to receive treatment around their work schedules.
- Treatment includes medical and psychological evaluations as needed. Combination of group, individual, and educational sessions several times weekly (mornings and/or evenings) for three weeks. This treatment is combined with required participation in self-help meetings.

- Upon completion of the first three weeks (Day Treatment or ADAP), recovering individuals attend ongoing group therapy, focused on living a clean and sober lifestyle, preventing relapses, enhancing self-awareness and communication. Group treatment with a family emphasis is included. Participation in self-help meetings is required throughout the entirety of the program.

Participants typically attend 4 days a week for 4 weeks or a total of 16 program days. Program hours are from 9:30 am – 12:30 pm.
The treatment goals include:
- Abstinence from drug and alcohol use
- Management and stabilization of mental health symptoms
- Development of healthy life coping skills
Each participant in the program will work with a therapist who will assist in the development of a personalized treatment plan. The therapist and participant will review past events leading up to their current situation and develop a recovery plan.
Participants may be evaluated and medically treated by the program psychiatrist to support their recovery plan.
New skills and behaviors can often be a struggle to learn, especially during emotionally hard times. However, an open attitude and willingness to work on changing yourself will increase your chance of success in this program. We are committed to helping you achieve your goals.
Due to the nature of this program, participants may need a medical leave of absence for the 4 weeks they are engaged in treatment. This program is eligible for FMLA leave, or disability insurance claims (if provided by your employer). Please refer to “Process for Obtaining SDI”.
