Codependency Program
If you are a Kaiser member who is a partner, spouse or a parent of an adult child who has a problem with drug and/or alcohol, you are eligible to join our Codependency Treatment Program at AMRS in Sacramento. These support groups are offered to Kaiser members even if your loved one is not engaged in treatment for their substance abuse issues. The Codependency Treatment Program provides support and education about substance abuse and its effect on the family and relationships. Through this program, participants can learn healthier, more balanced approaches in relating to addicted loved ones, as well as to others in your life.
The Codependency Treatment Program groups meet one evening a week for 6 months. In addition, program participants work individually with a licensed therapist. Participation in self-help meetings, in combination with our program, is strongly encouraged.
Substance abuse tears at the fabric of relationships and families. The Codependency Treatment Program will assist participants to gain knowledge, to develop a healthy perspective and to acquire skills to support one’s family and oneself.
