Scheduled phone, video, and e-visits

With these convenient options, we offer urgent, primary, pediatric, and specialty care services. Interpreter services, including American Sign Language (ASL), are available at no additional cost.

Phone appointments

Save yourself a trip to the doctor’s office for minor conditions or follow-up care.

Video visits

Meet face-to-face online with a doctor on your computer. Or, download the Kaiser Permanente app from the App Store or Google Play and use your smartphone or tablet.

E-visits

Get treatment online from a Kaiser Permanente physician, including prescriptions, if needed, within an hour.

Phone and video visits

Here are some conditions that are well-suited for scheduled phone and video visits:

  • Specialty consultation — many specialties offer scheduled phone and video visits for new referrals
  • Mental health therapy appointment
  • Post-operative follow-up
  • Medication review
  • Birth control consultation

Specialty care

Scheduled phone and video visits can save you time and let you meet with a specialist, whether you’re on the go or in the comfort of your home. Schedule a phone or video visit pre- and post-op — so you can prepare and recover at home. You can also review test results, discuss your questions, and consult with providers from other specialties.

Phone appointments, video visits, and e-visits are available for members who receive care at Kaiser Permanente medical offices. If you have an HSA-qualified deductible plan, you will need to pay the full charge for scheduled phone and video visits until you reach your deductible. Once you reach your deductible, you won’t pay anything for scheduled phone and video visits.
