Congratulation on your decision to breastfeed your baby! The Maternal Infant Lactation Consultants (MILC) is located in Pediatrics on the first floor of the Clovis Medical Offices. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that you give your baby breast milk for the first 6 months of life, and continue breastfeeding for at least the first year of your baby’s life. The Breastfeeding Program and Aftercare Center is here to support you and to reinforce these important recommendations. Our breastfeeding services are offered by board-certified lactation consultants, trained to help you get breastfeeding off to a good start. Breastfeeding support and consultation is available over the phone or in person to help you with any concerns, questions or problems that you might have about breastfeeding your baby.
