Welcome to the Vascular Anomalies Clinic (VAC) at Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara where we have an expert multidisciplinary team of physicians and specialists trained in seeing children and adults with vascular anomalies. Our team will work with you to identify the correct diagnosis and treatment plan for you or your family member.

Typical vascular anomalies we encounter at the Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara VAC include:

  • Vascular Tumors: hemangioma and kaposiform hemangioendothelioma
  • Vascular Malformations: venous, lymphatic, capillary, arteriovenous
  • Vascular Syndromes: PHACE, Klippel-Trenaunay, CLOVES, PIK3CA, Blue Rubber Bleb

OUR CLINIC

The Vascular Anomalies Clinic (VAC) at Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara Hospital provides care for children and adults with cutaneous vascular anomalies. Our clinical team made up of several various subspecialty providers has expertise in treating patients with these common and uncommon conditions.

Our clinic meets every other month and sees patients and their families in a group setting, after formally reviewing all pertinent clinical, imaging, and laboratory data. We discuss with each family the patient’s condition, review together their own radiology/imaging results, and provide various treatment options.

We also provide care for patients digitally with the patient not physically present. Our VAC offers care for patients all over Northern California, and this option permits clinical care without the patient having to travel to Santa Clara. In some cases, we can recommend diagnoses and treatments in this manner. If further care is needed to see the patient and family in person, we will arrange a future in-person clinic visit.
