Cerritos Medical Offices Earns Gold Garfield Distinction Award
The Cerritos Medical Offices earned Kaiser Permanente's Gold Garfield Distinction Award. Named for Kaiser Permanente co-founder, Dr. Sidney Garfield whose commitment to continuous improvement, innovation, and affordability laid the foundation for Permanente Medicine, the Garfield Distinction was developed in 2018 to elevate care delivery and quality outcomes for medical offices' operations. The Garfield Distinction uses evidence-based performance criteria drawn from multiple national guidelines to define levels of operational excellence. Serving as a guide for continuous improvement, the criteria form the basis for defining and assessing operations.
