Our Genetic Counselors
Jessica Norris, MS, LCGC
My Background
I grew up in Northern California.
Education & Experience
I received my bachelor’s degree in genetics from the University of California, Davis. I decided to become a genetic counselor because of my fascination with human genetics and I wanted to help other people to better understand their genes.
I joined the genetics team at Kaiser Permanente in Riverside shortly after completing my master’s degree in genetic counseling from the University of California, Irvine in 2006. I came to San Diego in 2009 and was promoted to the genetic counseling supervisor there in 2016.
About My Practice
While I primarily focus on prenatal genetics, I also see a wide range of other adult genetics patients. In the past, I have also specialized in pediatrics. I enjoy helping members make more informed and better decisions about genetic testing and their healthcare. I value Kaiser Permanente’s focus on preventative care.
