Welcome
Our Neurological Care Team offers you the treatment you need when facing a disease or condition that affects your nervous system. Patients are seen on referral, generally when a primary care physician initiates referral to a neurological specialist.
About Us
Our multidisciplinary team of neurologists, neurosurgeons and a wide range of other specialists work together to:
- Provide care for people with nervous system disorders
- Educate neurology and neurosurgery residents and fellows
- Conduct research to better understand nervous system disorders and develop new treatments. For more information, visit Kaiser Permanente Southern California Department of Research and Evaluation.
Neuroscience Residency and Fellowship Programs
Our Neurological Specialist takes great pride in giving our residents and fellows a valuable educational experience in caring for patients suffering from the most common to the rarest of neurologic conditions.
Neurology Residency Program
The primary site of training for our Neurology Residency Program is our Los Angeles Medical Center, with several required rotations also performed at the UCLA Medical Center. Residents have full responsibility for the evaluation and management of all hospitalized neurological patients under the supervision of the attending staff.
Neurosurgery Residency Program
Our Neurosurgery Residency Program partners with UCLA, the University of California, Irvine, and Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. Residents rotate through our Los Angeles, Orange County, and Fontana Medical Centers to gain invaluable experience. Kaiser Permanente San Diego is also an integral part of UCLA’s Neurotology Fellowship Program.
Neuroanesthesia Fellowship Program
We offer a Neuroanesthesia Fellowship for anesthesiologists which focuses on neurosurgical anesthesia and both perioperative and critical care.
