Grants

Kaiser Permanente is dedicated to improving the health of people living and working in the communities we serve. Beyond strengthening the health care safety net through the provision of emergency medical care, Medi-Cal services, and Kaiser Permanente’s charitable care and coverage programs, we partner with nonprofit organizations to invest grants and donations, volunteer, and share our knowledge and expertise.

To identify and address the unique needs of our service area, we conduct a Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) every three years. The CHNA informs our overall community benefit strategy and investments to improve the total health of our community. For 2020-2022, our priority health needs are:

  1. Access to Care
  2. Economic Security
  3. Mental Health
  4. Structural Racism and Marginalization
