The LEED Platinum certification authenticates Kaiser Permanente’s commitment to building a healthy, highly efficient and cost saving green building. The Baldwin Hills-Crenshaw Medical Offices have several green features including solar panels, an outdoor walking path, low water usage irrigation, and drought friendly landscaping.

Kaiser Permanente is recognized in the Healthcare category of 48th annual Los Angeles Architectural Awards.

Kaiser Permanente West Los Angeles was proud to receive the Los Angeles Business Journal’s Commercial Real Estate Gold Award for the Baldwin Hills-Crenshaw Medical Office Building. This award “showcases the biggest, best and most notable commercial real estate projects throughout Los Angeles,” according to the Los Angeles Business Journal’s website. The Gold award recognized Kaiser Permanente as the Developer; Turner Construction as the Builder; and HOK as the Architect.

The R.J. Erickson Awards for Innovation in Diversity & Inclusion were created in honor of Robert J. Erickson who served as the Program’s General Counsel for 30 years. Erickson’s social and political philosophy was “everyone should be treated fairly” and under his leadership, diversity innovation came in the form of employing a workforce with a wide range of backgrounds and looking for individuals who share this same trailblazing spirit in the realm of health equity and cultural inclusion.
