Breast pumps
If you’re breastfeeding your baby, you may want to use a breast pump to collect your milk so your baby can have it when you’re not around or to have a good supply when you’re together. This is especially important if you plan to go back to work while you’re still nursing. You can store or freeze your breast milk for later use.
Although it may feel strange at first to use a pump to get milk from your breasts, it will soon become quick and easy.
You can pump your breast milk by hand (manual expression) but it takes a long time and isn’t very practical if you plan to return to work. Consider using a manual, electric or battery-operated pump.
