Menopause symptoms
You may experience only a few mild symptoms as you go through menopause. Or you may have severe symptoms that require treatment. Be assured — over time, many symptoms get better or go away.
Common symptoms include:
- Irregular periods, light periods, or heavy bleeding
- Longer or shorter menstrual cycle, or you may skip periods
- Hot flashes
- Trouble sleeping (insomnia)
- Emotional changes such as mood swings, depression or anxiety
- Headaches
- Memory problems or confusion
- Vaginal dryness
