For CA members: Need care right away?
It’s never convenient to feel sick or get injured, but rest assured that you can access high-quality care at Kaiser Permanente — emergency care or advice around the clock, as well as urgent appointments in California.
You can call our advice nurses 24/7 if you have an urgent care need. They’ll assess your situation and help you decide what to do. They can let you know if a location accepts walk-ins or offers after-hours care, and whether you can make a same-day or next-day appointment.
Options for care may include:
- Walk-in urgent care
- Same-day or next-day appointments
- Telephone or video appointments with a physician
- Help ordering a prescription
Advice nurses are ready to help you anytime. Reach them by calling the Appointment and Advice line — find phone numbers and hours for your region at kp.org/getcare. For TTY, call 711.
If you reasonably believe you have an emergency medical condition, call 911 or go to the nearest hospital.*
*An emergency condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that requires immediate medical attention to prevent serious jeopardy to your health. For the complete definition of an emergency medical condition, please refer to your Evidence of Coverage.
