Get the best defense against the flu in Southern California
If you’re a parent, you’re always taking care of others. From calming a crying baby and making school lunches to creating Halloween costumes with your kids — you don’t have much time to relax. And you certainly can’t afford to be sick. That’s why it’s so important to take care of yourself and protect yourself from the flu.
The flu is serious business
The flu isn’t like an ordinary cold, where you might get a few sniffles and aches. It can make you feel much worse — to the point where you may have to miss work for 2 weeks. And if you pass it to your kids, they might have to stay home from school for 2 weeks. In some cases, you could even be hospitalized because of the flu.
Flu shots protect you and your family
So, what’s your best defense against the flu? A flu shot. It protects you, as well as everyone around you — your kids, your partner, relatives, friends, and anyone else who may be at risk. And if you’re an expectant mother, you should get a flu shot while you’re pregnant so both you and your baby are less likely to get the flu. (Your newborn can get a flu shot at 6 months.) Flu shots are safe and have a proven record of protection. And this year’s shot targets this year’s virus.
