Poor fit resulting in leakage is the most common reason for noise coming from your CPAP mask. Masks require a good seal to work properly, and you may need to adjust the fitting over time. Here are some of the main causes of mask leakage:
A heated humidifier may resolve episodes of congestion, dry mouth or bloody nose. If you already have a heated humidifier you may need to adjust the settings. Please refer to the instruction book for information regarding humidifier settings and care. If you continue to experience dry mouth you may need a full face mask which covers both your nose and mouth. Please contact the Sleep Clinic for a mask fitting appointment or to order a humidifier.
