Kaiser Permanente employees and physicians engage in the community by volunteering their time and expertise. Nonprofit organizations with 501(c)(3) status can post volunteer opportunities on an internal Kaiser Permanente website in order to engage employees and physicians by completing this form: New Project Submission Form.

Shoes That Fit Campaign is a success!

Kaiser Permanente Baldwin Park teamed up for a third year with Shoes That Fit to host a collection drive for new athletic shoes and socks for students in need. Thanks to the generous efforts of employees and physicians, more than 350 shoes were distributed to students at Cortada Elementary School in El Monte.


Kaiser Permanente Baldwin Park honors the memory of MLK

Kaiser Permanente Baldwin Park served as a presenting sponsor for the San Gabriel Valley NAACP and the City of West Covina’s 21st Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Birthday Celebration held at the West Covina Civic Center. More than 150 participants took part in the festivities.

Eugene Cho, Sr. Vice President/Area Manager, Kaiser Permanente Baldwin Park, introduced the keynote speaker. Kaiser Permanente Baldwin Park received the Community Service Award from the San Gabriel Valley NAACP for 17 years of dedicated support and participation for this event. Kaiser Permanente provided the “Wheel of Health” education game, body mass index screenings, and distributed health education materials. Special thanks to the Kaiser Permanente staff members who volunteered for the event.


Backpack and School Supply Campaign

Thanks to the efforts of physicians and employees from the Kaiser Permanente Baldwin Park Medical Center, local school students in Baldwin Park and El Monte received backpacks and school supplies to start the new school year. More than 1,765 backpacks were collected. An impressive 33 departments participated in the campaign.

 


Surgery Day helps those in need

Thanks to the generous support of more than 160 volunteers and community service workers, a variety of surgical procedures were provided to 25 uninsured, low-income residents from the San Gabriel Valley. This is made possible through a partnership with East Valley Community Health Center, which identified the patients.
