Carson Medical Offices Earns Garfield Distinction
The Carson Medical Offices has earned Kaiser Permanente's Garfield Distinction. Named for Kaiser Permanente co-founder, Dr. Sidney Garfield whose commitment to continuous improvement, innovation, and affordability laid the foundation for Permanente Medicine, the Garfield Distinction was developed in 2018 to elevate care delivery and quality outcomes for medical offices' operations. The Garfield Distinction uses evidence-based performance criteria drawn from multiple national guidelines to define levels of operational excellence. Serving as a guide for continuous improvement, the criteria form the basis for defining and assessing operations.
Kaiser Permanente South Bay Medical Center Receives National Award for Excellence and Innovation in Sustainability
In recognition for leading the health care industry in sustainability and environmental stewardship, Kaiser Permanente South Bay Medical Center received the prominent Greenhealth Emerald Award from Practice Greenhealth, the nation’s leading organization dedicated to environmental sustainability in health care. The award is one of the Environmental Excellence Awards given each year to honor environmental achievements in the health care sector.
