Did you know that there are different strains (or versions) of the flu virus each year? That’s why it’s a good idea to get your flu shot annually — to protect yourself from the strains most likely to hit with each flu season.

When to get your flu shot

You can protect yourself and those around you by getting your flu shot as soon as it’s available. Getting vaccinated before December will give your body time to build up resistance to the flu before it becomes common. Take advantage of our walk-in flu shot clinics from October 8 through 21, 2016.

How to get your no-cost flu shot at Kaiser Permanente

Starting Saturday, October 8, just walk in to any Kaiser Permanente flu shot clinic. You’ll find them open through October 21 during these hours:

  • Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

For specific locations, visit kp.org/flu or call 1-800-813-2000 (toll free). Press ‘1’ for Medical Care to speak with a representative.

For flu shots later in the season

Starting October 24, you’ll be able to get a flu shot:

  • As part of a regular office visit
  • At your local Nurse Treatment Center

Visit kp.org/flu for a list of Nurse Treatment Centers in the Northwest.
