When you’re injured or sick, it helps to have a neighborhood clinic available for convenient care. To honor the health needs of members and nonmembers in Portland, Kaiser Permanente is set to open its first neighborhood-based convenient care clinic in the Northwest.

Called Care Essentials by Kaiser Permanente, this new clinic is set to open in Portland’s Pearl District during the month of December, 2016.

Making care easier for you and your family

“We know people are looking for easier ways to take care of their health closer to home and work,” says Rahul Rastogi, MD, chief operating officer of Kaiser Permanente Northwest’s physician group, Northwest Permanente.

“Our aim in welcoming the community into the Pearl District clinic — whether or not they belong to Kaiser Permanente — is to provide the neighborhood with high-quality, affordable care that’s just a short walk or drive away.”

Services offered

Visitors to the clinic can be treated for common illnesses and injuries, like flu, strep throat, and minor burns. Clinicians will also provide preventive services (such as immunizations and blood pressure checks) and be able to write prescriptions.

How to get services at Care Essentials

Getting the care you need will be easy. Starting December 2016, simply walk in whenever the clinic’s open. You can also set up an appointment by calling 1-800-448-6118 or by visiting kp.org.
