If you qualify for the Oregon Health Plan, you may also qualify for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF).
Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
The Oregon Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) provides food benefits, access to a healthy diet, and education on food preparation and nutrition to low-income Oregon households. SNAP recipients receive a card that is used like an ATM card to buy eligible food in authorized retail food stores. The program is designed to help improve the health and well-being of low-income households and individuals by providing them a means to meet their nutritional needs. If you are finding it difficult to afford to feed yourself or your family, SNAP may be able to help.
