- FODMAP: A low FODMAP diet may be beneficial for people with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Foods high in Fermentable Oligo-, Di- and Mono-saccharides and Polyols (FODMAP) can cause digestive distress such as abdominal distension, bloating, discomfort, gas, altered bowel habits (constipation or diarrhea), fullness, nausea and/or pain.
