Pediatric Medicaid with Kaiser Permanente in Georgia

In Georgia, Medicaid is run by the Georgia Department of Community Health (DCH). Medicaid’s managed care program is called Georgia Families®, and PeachCare for Kids® is another program serving uninsured children in Georgia. Children who are eligible for either of these — and are enrolled with a Care Management Organization — can see a Kaiser Permanente pediatrician. With Kaiser Permanente, your children have access to participating doctors at our medical offices throughout metro Atlanta and in Athens.



Medicaid with Kaiser Permanente in Georgia provides a core set of health benefits, including doctor visits, and immunizations. If your child is eligible for Medicaid, Kaiser Permanente covers health services like:

Doctor office visits

Your child can get care from a pediatrician or nurse.

Well child check-ups

Your child’s regular check-ups to stay healthy are covered.

Immunizations

Your child’s shots and vaccines are covered.

Laboratory services

Your child’s lab tests and radiology services are covered.

Urgent
& Advanced care

We offer extended hours and same-day appointments are usually available at our Urgent Care locations. For more serious urgent care needs, we also offer 24/7 Advanced Care Centers.

Please note: Some services may require preauthorization. All services must be provided by a Kaiser Permanente doctor or medical staff.
